Happy New Year!

Wow, December was so hectic with work, family, friends, Christmas, shopping, eating and so on and so forth!  It was so crazy I unofficially took a break from blogging.  I don't feel too guilty considering my garden is hibernating anyway.

I have found some time to reflect on the past year and how I can make some improvements.  I don't like to do resolutions:  I feel like they're a set up for failure and who needs that?!?  But I have set some goals, specifically for my blog and garden.

  1. Time Management:  I need to set a schedule and stick to it.  The past six months of blogging has taught me that my life is too crazy to blog when I find time.  Work, toddler, husband, family, house (not in any specific order)...it's clear that blogging takes a back seat to life's other priorities.  I need to make a schedule in order to blog on a regular basis.
  2. Propagation:  I want to make the most of what I already have.  I'm sure this is true in all aspects of life, but specifically I want to increase propagation this year.  I'd like to start more plants by seed, mostly annuals for containers.  Also, I'd like to make more cuttings and divisions of existing plants to fill in bare spots rather than going to the garden center and spending money.

So, here's to a new year!  Looking forward to new adventures with my family.  Also, looking forward to March when I can get digging again!

Happy New Year!
